A mechanic can tell if the transmission has an extra gear easy enough, also the operation of the turn signals will present itself. The cycle will probably run better with the old carb settings any way.
I do not feel disadvantaged if I relied on the Clymer's manual alone, (I have the shop manual too) in fact I found an engine diagram that was needed by me in the Clymer's manual, that was not in the shop manual!
